CHING (The Well)

Elements: Water over Wind

Image: Water over wood. Image of The Well. The superior man inspires and encourages people at their work and asks them to help one another.

Judgement: The town can be changed but the well cannot be changed. It neither increases nor decreases. If one went, while the rope does not go all the way, it will bring misfortune.

Interpretation: Ching reminds you that although everything around you is changing, your soul needs constant nourishing. This need never changes. This is a period to assure that the food for body, soul and mind remains untainted and available. Ching warns you that you should provide this nourishment for people who are not able to provide it for themselves.
